With the external roof finished, roof lights (see Chapter 7) and windows installed (see Chapter 8) we were completely watertight!  At this stage of the build it was important to be finalising electrical and plumbing plans ready for the first fix. Both of these things rested on firming up the layouts for each room.

I love the quote a good friend of mine coined, and who went on to help us with our lighting design. He said: 

“Good lighting draws attention to what it is lighting, not the lighting itself”.

This set the tone for the lighting journey we went on, to create a calm and comfortable home.
