I would love for this to serve as a practical guide for anyone navigating the complexities of home renovation or maybe thinking about doing something similar in the future. I have spoken to many people recently about them holding off on any plans to do any jobs in the house due to the current hike in costs. I wonder what it’s like in other countries and in the US? Please do leave me a comment here. I am sure the shared knowledge and conversation will help many of us.

If you have been following along, you'll remember our old Victorian fixer-upper, which we bought in 2012 and I talked about last week in Chapter 5. It was our first home, and it was a project. It was also where we created memories—welcoming another two little ladies, getting married, renovating and starting a new career in Interior Design.

Fast forward to 2018, and we found ourselves bidding farewell to our first home. I thought I would share the back story here of why we were moving so soon after renovating.

We felt we had outgrown our terraced home and the property market was booming and we couldn’t believe what we could sell our first home for.

*Read on to find out how much we sold our terraced Victorian house for, how much we bought our bungalow for, materials and delays. I would love to have you here to join in the community and you can ask me any questions on the Chat or DM.
